Awami League is now effusive in its praise of Pakistan: Rizvi

Criticizing Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, 'They verbally oppose Pakistan, but just a few days ago when Pakistan spoke about their development, their boss said that even Pakistan sees their development, but BNP does not. Now they (Awami League) are effusive in their praise of Pakistan. It is common for one country to praise another. In reality, Mr. Obaidul and his colleagues are adopting a policy of duplicity.'

He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a seven-day program organized by Dhaka North City BNP to distribute drinking water and saline to pedestrians suffering from the severe heat in Mirpur on Saturday afternoon.

Rizvi said, 'In the magic show of the dummy government’s development, Bangladesh has now become a valley of death. Unplanned urbanization has endangered human lives by clearing forests and jungles, filling rivers and streams, and establishing thermal and coal power plants. Bangladesh has now been turned into a gas chamber.'

The event was presided over by the acting coordinator of Dhaka North City BNP, Professor Dr. Forhad Halim Donar, and conducted by member secretary Aminul Haq. Other speakers included BNP’s Central Executive Committee’s Economic Affairs Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Sumon, central member Tabith Awal, Dhaka North City BNP's Anowaruzzaman Anowar, Mostafa Zaman, Ataur Rahman (Chairman), Mostafizur Rahman Segun, and Abdur Razzak
